Hey Dolls. I spend waaaaay too much time scrolling through Tumblr each day and saving numerous amounts of photos to my phone so I can look at them and get some inspo whenever I feel like it. Finding inspiration, especially for outfits can be quite hard so these are the pictures I have on my phone at the moment which I tend to look at to give me the best inspiration. Hopefully you can get some inspiration too!

Hey Dolls. I've been so excited to do this outfit post as ever since I laid eyes on this dress I have been in love. I think its a dress which people will either love or hate but I love it! I really like the old fashioned, vintage vibe it has to it. I originally saw the blouse version to this top in a magazine but when I found out they had a dress version of it aswell I knew I just had to have it. This dress is called "The Harry Dress" and is from a collection by Alexa Chung called Archive By Alexa which is available at M&S. I have to admit I'm not a massive fan of the whole collection but a few pieces within the collection like this dress are stunning. The only thing I dislike about this dress is the high neck, although it looks flattering I'm so scared I'm going to make up on it and I'm constantly walking around with my head up haha!!! But I'm so looking forward to wearing it when the weather is a bit warmer. I just wore some black boots which you've probably seen before and I love everything monochrome so this look I LOVE.

Hope you like it as much as I do!!!

Ways to Gain Your Self Confidence

Ok, so I've been a bit sceptical on whether to do this post or not but it's something I really want to talk about. I want to talk all about self confidence, it's a problem that a lot of people face including myself and it is so hard to gain that tiny bit of confidence to push yourself. I have next to no confidence at all, but starting this blog has given me some confidence to start making my dreams a reality and I want to share with you what I believe is some good tips to start gaining some confidence in yourself.

First thing I believe is a starting point is to love yourself! It REALLY annoys me how this point is really frowned upon, people who have confidence in who they are judged by people as being too cocky or arrogant. Although there is a very thin line between being arrogant and being confident, being humble and being a kind person will always make you the better person, so keep that in note. Accepting your flaws and loving them will make the confidence shine out through your face and make you feel 10x better! By believing in yourself and knowing that you are capable of doing anything you set your mind too will lift your confidence and will also widen your comfort zone. By going out of your comfort zone and enjoying what your doing will only make you want to do more, and this will give you the confidence to take on anything you want to do in your life.

Another tip is to try not to care what people may think about you and I know that this is easier said than done. This was my biggest struggle when I started blogging as I was so paranoid about what people thought about me, but now I look how far I've come in such a short amount of time and I couldn't care less what people thought about it, I'm doing something I enjoy and its giving me the confidence to do so many things and go to so many opportunities. So the sooner you don't care about what people think or might think about you the sooner you'll be happier and more confident in whatever it is that you're doing. Nine times out of ten people are praising you for what you're doing so there really is no need to shy away from it.

I read a quote about a year ago on Tumblr I think it was and it read "Fake it, fake your confidence until it's real, I think it's a good way to live most of your life" and I have lived by this quote ever since! Whenever I'm doing something or going somewhere where I don't feel confident in myself I fake my confidence, by faking it your telling yourself that you are capable of doing whatever it is that your doing and it can make the situation feel 100x better. This is such a simple thing to do but to me it's the most effective.

I would also say another tip into gaining more confidence is to not follow the crowds just because everyone else is. This will put you in a position where your not truly being yourself and may cause your confidence to slip. By standing up for what you believe in and being more independent will give you the opportunity to gain some strength in yourself and to stand on your own two feet, after this you may notice that the confidence you have in yourself begin to rise.

Last tip and probably the most important one is to stop comparing yourself to other people! I know we all do this and we can't help it but constantly comparing ourselves to the "perfect" girl on Instagram will only lower your self esteem and make the only bit of confidence you have hit the floor. More and more people need to realise that everyone is different and unique and you are you for a reason. So there really is not point in comparing ourselves as the world would be a very boring place if everyone was the same.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post!
Let me know what you think and whether you'd like to do more posts like this!

Much Love
