My Skincare Routine

I've never actually had a skincare routine before, and I still don't now really I just do these steps every other day and it seems to make my skin a bit more brighter and adds more of a glow to my face. I have to say I'm not massively in to beauty/makeup/skincare but I'm trying to take a bit more care of my skin, I'm quite lazy when it comes to the skincare side of things and don't tend to do much about it, but I've started to invest in more products and to try different things to see if it makes a difference to my skin. I'm quite lucky that I've never had any problems with my skin (I have normal to dry skin), I don't tend to get spots and I'm not prone to breakouts, only the once in a blue moon redness when it comes to that time of the month. So here is what I'm using at the moment!

1. Simple Eye Makeup Remover

I have really sensitive eyes so I don't like using a whole load of products on them, that's why when I want to take my makeup off (if I've used a lot of eyeshadow or mascara) I will take it off with the Simple Eye Makeup Remover. I like the fact that when you use it, it takes the makeup off so easily, there's no trying to scrub the makeup off with this product, and there's no added perfumes to aggravate my eyes.

2. Simple Face Wash

If I'm wearing a lot of makeup on my face I will use the Simple Face Wash to wash it off with, I do like this although I do think the consistency of it is rather thick which I'm not a massive fan of but it does the job at getting my makeup off. If I'm being lazy I will use baby wipes to take my makeup off with which I know is a massive no go but sometimes I really can't be bothered haha.

3. Loreal Fine Flowers Cleansing Milk

I use the Loreal Cleansing Milk, which has extracts of Rose & Jasmine in, and apply it all over my face with a cotton pad after taking off my makeup. To be honest I'm not really sure what this Loreal milk is supposed to do to my skin (does anyone lol?) but its creamy texture does nourish my skin and make my skin baby smooth after a long day of wearing makeup. I do want to try more of the "Fine Flowers" range as it's the only range I've actually liked the look of, or maybe it's just the super cute packaging lol.

4. Garnier Micellar Water (oil infused)

I use this micellar water because I had heard such good reviews about it, and it has lived up to my expectations! I use the oil infused one because I have normal to dry skin so I like to add a bit of glow in my face. I never get oily so I try to use anything I can to give me some sort of natural highlight, I am jealous of anyone with oily skin you have that natural GLOW I want!!! I put this all over my face but focus it on the areas where I'm mostly dry which is my under eye area and in the middle of my forehead, I have to say it does feel a little but greasy when you first apply this, but it does sink into the skin to give a smooth finish after applied. After using the Loreal Cleansing Milk the Micellar water tends to just lock that moisture in place and leave my skin feeling fresh.

I will only do all 4 steps if I'm taking my makeup off, normally I don't wear makeup as I only really wear it once or twice a week, so when I'm not wearing any I just apply the Loreal Milk and the Garnier Micellar Water.

Fave Met Gala Dresses 2017

It's that time of the year again when the Met Gala comes around and I don't know about you but I get very excited, we all just want to see who's wearing what, who looks amazing and who looks meeeeh. I have to admit there wasn't a whole load of looks that I overly liked this year but I have picked out some of my favourites so here they are.

Kylie Jenner

Obviously she is on the list, she just slays everything doesn't she. Her dress kind of reminds me of THAT BeyoncĂ© dress that she wore to the Met Gala, I love it! The embellishment, the colour and the drapes coming off the shoulder are my favourite parts of this dress. Also Kylie's hair looks incredible too, how can someone change their hair colour so often and look good in every single one of them?! I am ridiculously envious.

Ruby Rose

I have to say Ruby Rose isn't someone I look out for when it comes to stalking the Met Gala or any event for that matter, but this dress is to die for!! I like the thick waistband and the layers at the bottom, I think the dress goes really well with her tattoos too. She looks stunning, she's definitely pulled it out of the bag with this one!

Blake Lively

I have to say I wasn't incredibly wowed by the top half of this dress but then I saw the bottom and I am now obsessed with it! The gold compliments the blue so much, the hair, the earrings everything I feel she's pulled off! Well, she is Blake Lively of course she is going to pull anything off, right?!

Kim Kardashian

Like Kylie, is inevitable Kim is going to be amongst the bed dressed, well in my book anyway. I love the off shoulder and the tie up at the top of the dress. I think she looks really classy with her hair and the fact her dress is plain compliments her so much, I think it's a great look for her.

Hailey Baldwin

I feel like I shouldn't like this dress but for some reason it just really stands out to me, I can get why people don't like it - it does remind me of them nan dolls that sit on top of the toilet roll haha! But I love the way it's a two piece, the bandeau type top and the vibrant skirt and the way she has worn a head piece with it, I think its really different and I kinda love it!

Selena Gomez

THIS DRESS!!! Selena is slaying my life right now. I love everything about this dress, the embellishment, the lace at the top and the way it just drapes on her is so stunning! I love the pop of pink of her eyeshadow too! She looks amazingly classy, she didn't overdo it or underdo it - I think this dress might be my favourite look!

Stella Maxwell

Ok, so I have a massive crush on Stella, she is my inspo all the time, so I got very excited when I saw her wearing this dress. She looks GORGEOUS! I am living for the low cut and the tassels at the bottom, she has just done everything right in my opinion. This dress is on par with Selena's, they are both the best dressed for me!!

Purpose Tour X Denim Jacket

Hey everyone, I am quite the fan of Justin Biebers' merchandise line, I think it's really different and wearable, I love it! I'm all over the purpose tour clothing so when I saw this denim jacket I snapped it up! I got it From Depop, it was ridiculously cheap! I paid £19 for it which in my book is a bargain, the only down side to it is it's from China so it did take around 3 weeks to come which is annoying AF, especially if your like me and are ridiculously impatient when to comes to the delivery part of online shopping. I wanted it to be quite oversized on me so I got a size L, I probably could get away with getting the XL if you want the serious oversized vibes going on but I'm quite happy with the way it fits. It didn't come cropped, I cropped it myself by using fabric scissors and I then frayed the ends to give it a bit of a distressed look which I am living for.

A Little Life Update

Hey everyone, I thought I'd come back in this blog post with a little life update. I've been really reluctant to post such chatty posts on my blog, Im going through a stage where I'm kind of worried people will judge me, but I realised this is my little place of the internet and if no one likes reading it they can easily click the close button, so here goes... Things have been a bit shitty recently due to reasons that don't need to be put all over the internet but I'm working to get through every day happy and healthy, which I have to admit is pretty hard at the moment. I know we all have days where we don't want to get out of bed or don't want to get out of our pyjamas for days on end. I can't help it, I'm such a homely person, I love my bedroom and I love my little space of the world that sometimes I just want to forget everything and hibernate for a few days. I think it's important for people to know it's ok to be like this every now and again, we all need time out because let's face it life is pretty stressful and if we engulf ourselves with work and any other aspects of our life, good or bad, sometimes it can have a negative impact on your mindset which is something I've learnt recently. For me there are so many paths in my life that I'm working towards, some I really want and some others not as much and at the moment it's exhausting, wanting something so bad but but being too scared to do anything about it really isn't working in my favour at the moment but one day I'll get there!  I hope lol!

One thing that has been stressing me out recently is blogging although I hate to admit it. Blogging is made out to be the "in thing" and a lot of bloggers make out it's such a glamorous life when we all know it really isn't. If it isn't the camera or laptop not working it's the wrong angle or the wrong location for pictures and then there's all the work to go into writing the blog post, doing any changes to the website and so on and so forth that sometimes I just want to cry because it's not going right haha like for example, I've tried writing this post twice and every time my laptop has deleted it whilst I'm halfway through writing it, nightmare!!! Don't get me wrong I love blogging and it's something I'm sooooo passionate about but some people are so much better at it that sometimes you just can't help but compare yourself to others which for me completely dampens my mood and my confidence and then I completely go off blogging, although I can't help but admire them for doing so well. I think any blogger is lying if they say they haven't felt like that at least one time in their blogging career. Although it's such a lovely industry I don't think I could do it full time and I take my hats off to the bloggers who do. There's so much to deal with that for me it would be too much, but who knows a lot can change on the future.

On a positive note though I've finally had my room redecorated woohoo. It's taken like 2 years to do but it is finally the way I want it and I am sooooo obsessed with it! I've inserted some pictures so you can see what it's like. I'm really into interior at the moment,  I'm constantly scrolling through Pinterest looking for some bedroom inspo. I follow way too many interior bloggers on Instagram whose houses are an absolute dream! I can't wait to have my own place one day and do it up the way I like! I also have a thing for indoor plants at the moment I literally cannot get enough of them! Is anybody else like this?! I want to buy them all but don't want my bedroom to look like an indoor jungle so the refrain from buying loads is real at the moment. I think they're a great way to incorporate colour in your bedroom/house, especially if your like me and have a sort of monochrome theme going on. A lot of my homeware stuff is from Primark and I am LIVING for their home collection at the moment! All the pieces look so expensive but have a ridiculously cheap price tag whilst still looking bang on trend. The whole simplicity trend is a bit of me when it comes to homeware pieces, there's nothing worse (in my opinion) than a clogged up bedroom full of stuff and unnecessary shit. Like I always say clean bedroom, clean mind haha!!!

Last thing I want to talk about is my weight grrrrrr!!!! I've gone years where I was pretty skinny and could eat whatever I wanted and not put on any weight, but oh how that's changed, cries!!! Over the past year and a half I've suddenly grown the biggest hips in the world and the fattest arse! Everything that I used to eat has finally caught up with me and I am piling on the pounds, especially on the bottom half of my body. It's not a bad thing at all, I actually like having an hourglass shape to me but I'm being pretty lazy and it's started to get out of hand hahahaha. All the girls in my family are fitness freaks, my sister is a fitness instructor and my mum goes for a run everyday, sometimes even twice a day and then there's me who just can't be asked. Sorry but I don't think I'm the only girl to feel like this, well I hope not lol. Don't get me wrong I'd love to go to the gym or do fitness classes but they're  just too waaaay too daunting for me, I don't know what the hell im doing, or what machine does what or what part of my body I'm supposed to excerise etc...!? I tried meal replacement shakes but they just made me hungrier so they're a no go, god I hate being a girl. Especially when it comes to that time of the month and all I want to eat is chocolate and cakes and crisps and biscuits and wollow in my sadness that I'm not skinny, it's a continuous circle. I try to tell myself every Sunday that I'm going to eat healthy but it gets to Monday night and I think fuck it I've got no one to impress, so here's to the girls who don't care what they look like and don't let their weight bother them, I salute you!
